New Year New Mindset

By January 8, 2019No Comments4 min read

The non-stop emails, texts and phone calls.

An overload of information to process.

The day ahead holds a motion hearing that leaves you exhausted at the thought.

Or maybe the day is filled with calls from opposing counsel or from demanding clients

Always running to quench the latest fire, leaves the feeling of uncertainty of what will come next.

Does this average day of a lawyer sound familiar?

It does to me and to countless of my lawyer friends and clients. As lawyers, our minds have been trained to be always “on.”  We are always processing information, looking for the next action or next step to take. We are in reactive mode – putting out the hottest fire. It’s a constant strain on our physical and mental selves and a drain of our energy on all levels. From this mindset, we are not creating but just surviving.

The overload and constant exhaustion is the reason I started on a new path…I no longer wanted to react to my world but instead create a world.

I’ve been exploring. I’ve been studying powerful practices from mindfulness, meditation, and other energy empowering practices, I’ve been learning from masters around the world. It’s my new passion  and purpose – discovering ways to empower our minds to be thriving instead of just surviving – to create lives we want to be living.

It’s all about your Mind. Since it’s a new year, I can sum up my new motto as “Change Your Mind, Change Your Life”.

And with this new year, I want to combine my two passions in life, my love of the law and my love of creating mind empowering practices based in science and in ancient energy medicine practices that literally will change how the mind works.

Over the last few years, I have been working with and coaching lawyers to help them be more powerful in and out of the courtroom.

The results? I call it Mind Over Law. It’s all about helping lawyers to be powerful performers in all areas of life by knowing the most recent and important discoveries about the human brain.

It’s simple. When you understand how your brain works, you can change it.

We have been trained that success comes from taking more action. Yet, science is proving that the psychology of success comes down to your mindset.  Research supports that the views that you adopt for yourself affects the way you lead your life. Mindset can determine whether you accomplish the things you value or become the person you want to be.

With the mind empowering practices in my Mind Over Law coaching, you can change how you feel about the practice of law. Change your mindset and you will work smarter, be more focused and productive, stay cool under pressure, tackle the most challenging people and know how to influence others.

You will transform how you strategize and win in and out of the courtroom.  Along the way it will help you to be a better parent and partner, and perhaps even live longer

Mindset is all about understanding that we have a conscious choice over how to engage our brains, and the power to change old power draining habits and beliefs. The mind and how we regulate the flow of energy and information within it, can literally change how our brains functions.

I’m excited. It’s a New Year and Mind Over Law is all about creating a New Mindset fine tuned for success.
